This is 2008 March and I've just upgraded from Edgy to Gutsy (v7.10). And this problem is hitting me. It was not there in Edgy earlier. The description _exactly_ matches what others have described above, therefore I am not adding any new description. I've done a dist-upgrade about five minutes ago, and before that I've also uninstalled cupsys and a host of other packages and reinstalled them.
