BTW, one thing which irritates me is generating dependencies and "creating list of applications". It takes lots of time. Just as Update Manager, so I think it is not a problem of GAI itself. However, Synaptic doesn't do it at all... PS. I don't know if Mac OS has central software registration. However, as I know you can drag and drop application wherever you want. To Music, Documents or other place.
