Hmm. I got this crash fifteen minutes ago on a fully-updated Hardy system, just after the FBI warning on a DVD, right as the sound would have started to play. Now after logging out and in, everything works fine.
I've tried playing audio through Totem, Gxine, VLC, MPlayer, and the Firefox Flash plugin to see if one of them was failing to release the OSS driver, but even after using all of them, Ogle still gets sound. (The colors in Ogle are severely oversaturated/solarized after using Xine, but that's another problem involving an environment variable). I'm using a 1st gen Macbook, fwiw. -- Ogle Crash: failed opening the oss audio driver at /dev/dsp https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196410 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
