Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kubuntu-kde4-desktop
When I insert hfsplus-formatted DVDs created by OS X machines, the system fails to recognize the format. This is the dmesg output: [ 125.476535] UDF-fs: No VRS found [ 125.612017] ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 3 [ 125.757437] ISO 9660 Extensions: RRIP_1991A [ 294.296538] end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 [ 294.320515] end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 [ 299.959764] UDF-fs: No VRS found [ 300.078609] ISOFS: Unable to identify CD-ROM format. [ 305.166401] UDF-fs: No VRS found [ 305.255735] ISOFS: Unable to identify CD-ROM format. However I can mount the DVD manually by issuing: sudo mount -t hfsplus /dev/hdb /mnt/hfsplus Wouldn't it be easy to make automount be able to recognize hfsplus- formatted tracks. This feature is important since OS X is another major system and Ubuntu should be able to pick up this format automatically ** Affects: kubuntu-kde4-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- automount fails to recognize CD/DVDs in hfsplus format https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209076 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
