By the way, my video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT and the native resolution of my LCD monitor is 1600x1200. If this helps at all, when the shutdown Usplash has about 3 bars left, the screen goes to black for a second and just before my computer shuts down I can see the Usplash progress bar displayed in correct colors. Maybe it reverted the video display settings and fixed itself when it was shutting down.
