Public bug reported: I tried to install the new Hardy beta using the 64 bit Desktop CD. I'm able to boot off the CD and select the "preview or install Ubuntu" option. I get the Ubuntu usplash progress bar. The progress bar fills up to the end, and then the screen goes blank and stays that way. The same thing happens if I boot in safe mode. I checked the CD for defects.
I tried using the 32 bit Desktop CD, and the same thing happened. I also tried using the 32 bit Alternate CD, and I was able to install. However, I was not able to boot into Ubuntu; after the usplash, I get a blank screen. The problem is documented here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=730902 I have a Gateway C-140 tablet, with an AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2300 video card. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- livecd gives a blank screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
