Hi all, Adam although its good but asac has given some good advice. It works out in the longer-term to use stuff from Debian and or package something new for Debian which can also be put up for Ubuntu. Maintenance and many other issues can be solved or pointed out which might be common. It also makes sense to have issues known by a large pool/number of hackers who might be able to come up with a solution which gets applied. In short a win-win scenario for everyone. ;)
