Hello again and big thanks for your prompt answer :) I followed instructions given at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend
1). I simulated suspend/resume process - as root: sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force 2). The laptop suspended, I pressed power button, it tried to resume, blocked, I turned off and on. 3). I did at console: dmesg > dmesg_01.txt 4). I searched the file and found the "interesting" piece: [ 17.138455] Magic number: 0:716:196 [ 17.138462] hash matches /build/buildd/linux-2.6.24/drivers/base/power/main.c:97 [ 17.138528] hash matches device ttys8 [ 17.138542] hash matches device ttypb 5). I try to remove module ttypb (with no success...) rmmod ttypb ERROR: Module ttypb does not exist in /proc/modules I attatch also the entire dmesg.txt I'm afraid I need more indications from you. I'm not an expert... Did I do everything well? I'm not sure if the "valuable" info has been saved or rewritten... Thanks once again for your patience and BestRegards~~Piotrek~~pe3no. P.S. I retried and received a bit different result (dmesg_02.txt) [ 17.146724] Magic number: 0:891:1 [ 17.146739] hash matches device ttye9 [ 17.146754] hash matches device ttybc III. The third test - my clock moved back to the 1980 + fsck; after that test my laptop seems very slow... Another (4th) test and a very, very long startup: [ 16.392172] Magic number: 0:856:456 [ 16.392351] hash matches device urandom V. 5th test - it seems there's something broken (need to reinstall???)
