The bug still exists on Hardy beta, if mlnet is configured to start as a system service. However, as spiralvoice has pointed out, the patch has already been applied to the current mldonkey source, which means it is not the source (or cure) of the problem. The culprit should be the locale that mlnet is started in, as mlnet will convert filenames according to locale when saving downloaded files. However when starting a service, the user-configured locale hasn't been set yet, leaving a default English locale with ASCII codepage.
So a possible workaround is to source /etc/default/locale and export LANG LANGUAGE before starting mlnet. I'm not sure whether it's appropriate but it should at least serve the purpose. -- Mldonkey download the Chinese errors. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144023 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
