I don't know howto reproduce this. I'm just running (to my knowledge) a vanilla
Gutsy (kubuntu).
But can some people check in kde->settings->service-manager if they all have a
"KDED media manager" and a "Media notifier daemon". If I disable the latter, my
problems are gone. And only one "Removable media" appears. Although it hasn't
got the right icon-set, theme and all.

I can't really reproduce this, although chances are higher that it
starts happening after a suspend to ram. (but when it starts, it keeps
coming up twice for every device.)

my first guess although I don't have much knowledge about it, is that
the error is in the Suspend To Ram script.

the only other thing it could be, is that I installed a lot of kde4
dependencies, could this be a cause? (the rest is a fairly vanilla
Gutsy)

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
