Public bug reported:

G5 single (PowerMac 9.1) using Ubuntu 6.10 'Edgy Eft' beta PPC64. apt-
get refuses to install linux-powerpc64-smp when performing "apt-get
dist-upgrade". After having performed an "apt-get update" and then
running the command "apt-get dist-upgrade", I get the following
message:

"The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  linux-powerpc64-smp: Depends: linux-restricted-modules-powerpc64-smp but it
is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages"

"software update" (system --> administration --> software update) shows
linux-powerpc64-smp, but the package can't be chosen.

** Affects: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
