Public bug reported:

At some point my wlan icon has disappeared, so I tried nm-applet in
console. File was missing.

I suspect that I had installed foomatic-gui and there appeared some
error sign about network bla bla bla...

Anyway I re-installed network-manager-gnome and it worked.

For a cross check (since I am not sure whether it is due to foomatic-
gui), I tried to install foomatic-gui again but nothing happened, i.e.
nm-applet is not disapparing anymore. However I could not reach the
network for some reason. So I reinstalled network-manager-gnome and now
it works well.

Would you check please whether network-manager and foomatic interfere?

Attached my syslog, at point when the nm-applet disappeared.
