Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.24

Ubuntu 8.04 live cd crashes when loading, this is the error

ata1 : qc timeout (cmd 0xec)
ata1 : Failed to IDENTIFY (I/O Error, err_mask = 0x4)

My SATA controller is a VT8251, I have only one SATA hard drive
connected (Samsung SP2504C)

I already had the problem with ubuntu 7.10 but a kernel update seems to have
corrected the problem.

If I add 'pci=nomsi' to the command line, Ubuntu starts.
