I just installed Hardy beta, and still had the same problem on my Toshiba. I had to go in and do the "-B 254 fix". And for those debating the "Windows does it too" question, I respectfully enter that mine does NOT do it under XP. Only under linux. Windows is obviously setting it correctly, linux still isn't (unless the debian fix does something I don't know about yet). I'm also curious as to the pm-utils switchover...I wonder if that whole thing might fix it.
