I tried using the suspend/resume debug trick from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend
Using the command listed there, the machine didn't complete the suspend process - it hung before the power light went out. Using this command instead: sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; pm-suspend Caused the machine to suspend as usual, and lock up on resume as usual. After a hard reset, dmesg's output contains the following: [ 14.611608] Magic number: 0:731:221 [ 14.611611] hash matches /build/buildd/linux-2.6.24/drivers/base/power/main.c:76 [ 14.611643] hash matches device ttyu5 [ 14.611724] hash matches device 0000:00:19.0 -- Suspend/resume broken on Hardy with HP/Compaq 6720s https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204910 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
