This looks similar to this wishlist item: bug 63064 (prepare mountpoints
partition names unfriendly)
The suggestion from that bug is to include the discname, so it would look like
"Partition 1 (EXT3) on Maxtor 6E04040L0"
Your suggestion goes one step further (effectively) to add the drive
letter which Windows assigns.
I would suggest to merge these two ideas into one (by marking this a
duplicate and you commenting on the referenced bug adding to the
suggestion).
