Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem
A recent set of movies I downloaded came with subtitles in the SSA (Sub Station Alpha) format. Totem would not open and use these subtitles, even when I dragged them to it from Nautilus manually. I had to install an extra package Gaupol to convert them to SubRip (SRT) format by hand before Totem would autoload and display the subtitles. If a simple program like Gaupol can read this format it shouldn't be too hard to add support for it to Totem, right? From a quick web search it seems to be a popular subtitle format. Thanks in advance :) totem 2.22.0-0ubuntu2 totem-gstreamer 2.22.0-0ubuntu2 gaupol 0.12.3-1 ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- RFE: Please add support for SSA subtitle format https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203971 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
