Isn't that workaround meant for people with pm-utils ?The folder /etc/pm does not exist by default. Anyway , I executed hdparm with -B 200 and -S 242 , and well , my hard drive just doesn't respond to them.It keeps working as it would on -B 128. I suspect the firmware to my Hard disk is buggy.Can you send more details of your Hard disks ?
