Please confirm with ktorrent 2.0.2-0ubuntu2 or later. I have backported
several patches from their Subversion tree that are meant to address
download issues.
And KTorrent is not a memory hog. It is one of the lightest GUI torrent
clients (and also one of the most full-featured) available in the
repositories. That's even when run outside of KDE, with the kde library
"overhead".
