It's actually a problem with the new Xcb-based implementation of Xlib. It is doing some internal locking for multi-threaded use and gets into a situation where the sigle thread sets the display lock against itself. On the other hand, that only happens becuase the ICA client uses an Xlib event function in a very unusual way. A version of the ICA client that resolves the problem is available from Citrix tech. support.
