Hi Rajniks. I'm replying here just so you'll see it, though it looks like they want us discussing this on the bug report of which they have determined this to be a duplicate. You might even find you get more success with a general appeal for help if you place it on the generic Ubuntu forums. Nonetheless, as a fellow Aspire laptop owner running Gutsy32 I can't help but want to tell you how I got sound. I simply installed the newer Alsa per their instructions http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Module-hda-intel It's a bit techy, particular if you're new to Linux and struggle with privileges. On the other hand, I've tried Hardy32 Alpha 5 and the sound works right out of the box. At this late date, you may simply choose to wait for Hardy's official release next month. -- HDA Intel Realtek ID 268 not supported by Alsa - sound does not work (Toshiba a200) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120684 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
