I am having this problem on a Toshiba Portege with the VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03) .
I will post output of lspci and X error log as attachments. I have tried to find a pattern for when X freezes... sometimes it happens after only 10 minutes while other times it may not happen even if the computer is idle for > 1 hour. My screensaver is set to activate at 22 minutes. attached is a tarball of lspci -v, lspci -vn and Xorg.0.log.old from my machine.
