The bug makes a difference for those doing new installs of Dapper on amd64 with Areca RAID (or new installs of the Areca hardware on Dapper), which is probably a small pool of people now since new installs will probably wait for Hardy, the next LTS release. People on older installations have probably applied a fix on their own.
