Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ifupdown
Scenario: 1. I have a virtual interface eth0:0 configured to a static IP, with eth0 itself on DHCP. 2. I unplug the cable. 3. eth0:0 now disappears from ifconfig's list, while eth0 loses its IP address. 4. I plug in the cable again. 5. eth0 gets an IP again over DHCP. eth0:0 is not restored. That is a bug. This is on Feisty 7.04. ** Affects: ifupdown (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Virtual interfaces don't auto-restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201759 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
