Same here in kubuntu hardy alpha 6. I've tried downgrading language-selector as described in bug 199557, and dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig-config and I am not sure if it helped or not. But what I currently have is on screenshot. The font that is on the left is Dejavu Sans Mono, the other one is Dejavu Sans. Dejavu Sans Mono look not as perfect as was before, but still OK. Dejavu Sans look like fonts were on Linux many years ago.
