Public bug reported:

There is a difference in the font display between 32 bits Kubuntu 7.10
and 64 bits of the same version. In the 32 bits version the fonts is
readable, but not so in the 64 bits version. It is like that it is used
shadowing on the fonts, and using a somewhat grey background leaves them
unreadable.

This problem is brought over to OpenOffice.org, making the menu text
almost unreadable. So also for other programs using system fonts in menu
systems. Please use clean fonts easy readable!

How to fix this? I have tried to find some place changing the fonts in
system settings, but could not get rid of the problem.
