FWIW, I'm pretty sure that the upstream bug https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3916 that was referenced is unrelated to this. That bug would only apply when using winbind for logins, unrelated to using nautilus to connect to remote servers.
But I've not seen this issue, and have never heard of needing to authenticate to a master browser just for browsing. -- Autentification twice needed ???
