phontanka: I have also tried every version of Suse linux from 10.0 to 10.3 and I have had nothing but trouble with all of them. Graphics problems, sound problems, internet problems, mouse problems, keyboard problems, in fact too many problems to make it worth my while bothering with. I actually found a live cd of 10.3 just this week and tried that out - it wouldn't even run. I'm glad it works for you though. I am using Mandriva 2008 at the moment and that at least shuts it down sometimes.
Andrew: This is a modern laptop I have here, about 18 months old.
