I created a script in ~/ named some_elf just for testing purposes.
Inside of that script I had:

kdisplay --yesno "Are you sure?"

I did a chmod +x on the file to make it executable.

Alt+F2 to open up KRunner, and then I typed:

/home/nixternal/some_elf

Pressed the launch button and it executed the file.

Is this still an issue for you? If so, are you using Gutsy or Hardy for
KDE 4? Thanks!
