Binary package hint: gnucash
When I reconcile my savings account, Gnucash automatically opens a
transfer funds dialog box for me to input the interest. When it opens,
the savings account is selected in both the "payment from" and
"reconcile account" list boxes. Then when I enter the description
"Interest", the selection in the "reconcile account" list box changes to
the *income* account from which the interest comes. I think it must be
getting this automatically by looking at past transactions called
"Interest". The problems are that (1) the interest should be
transferred *from* the income account *to* the savings account, so it is
changing the wrong list box, and (2) the "reconcile account" list box is
disabled, so I can't correct this wrong automatic selection.
