Actually ... I'm about to get a new jde package uploaded to Debian unstable which will fix not only this bug but every bug marked "in progress" for jde. It might be best to wait until that gets out before syncing, in order to save effort. I'm unsubscribing universe-sponsors for now, and will resubscribe them when the new version is out.
