can you try the following:

sudo bash -c "(echo 0 >/proc/timer_stats; echo 1 > /proc/timer_stats ;
sleep 10; cat < /proc/timer_stats)" > timer_stats.log

This will do a 10 second sample of timer activity. From this way may see
which process(es) are a bit heavy handed on waking up the processor from
idle.
