Still doesn't work out of the box with Alpha 6 (live CD nor clean install). My Wifi card is Broadcom BCM4318. I followed the instructions on http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#devicefirmware. I used broadcom-wl-4.80.53.0.tar.bz2 for my card. The procedure described on the above mentioned webpage worked and it created several files in /lib/firmware. Problem was that this directory was accessible only for root user. When I changed the right to 755 the wifi card started to work.
