Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

Description:

Updated to the Lightning 05-Mar-2008 01:58 PST 0.8pre build. When
Thunderbird restarted, I received an error that my remote Google
calender could not load. I was not able to access it in the list to
remove it. I did not have it selected and showing previously. Every
time I restart Thunderbird I receive the same error message. There does
not seem to be anyway to remove the Google calendar link and get rid of
the error.

Error Message: (NOTE: I replaced my address with xxxx..)

An error was encountered preparing the calendar located at
http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/[EMAIL
PROTECTED]/private-xxxxxxxxxxxx/basic.ics for use. It will not be available.
Error Number: 2152333318
Description: TypeError:
Components.classes["@mozilla.org/calendar/calendar;1?type=" + type] has no
properties

Application and System Information:

Thunderbird version 2.0.0.12 (20080227)
Lightning 0.8pre 05-Mar-2008 01:58 PST (build 2008030501)
Lightning Nightly Updater (Unofficial) 0.5.080209 (Has not changed)

Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy

Expected Behavior:
When I checked for a new release of lightning, as I do daily, I received the
message that there was a new version available. I selected to install it. I
expected the new version to download and install and Thunderbird to shutdown
and restart successfully with the new version of Lightning loaded. This has
been the normal behavior.

Actual Behavior:
I checked for a new release of Lightning as I do daily. I received the message
that there was a new version available. I selected to install it. The new
version downloaded and installed correctly. Thunderbird shutdown successfully.
Once Thunderbird restarted I received the error message. Every time I restart
Thunderbird I receive the same error message. The Google Calendar does not
appear in the Calendar selection pane along the left side of the Calendar view.
I looked through the Calendar Properties and Lightning Options in the Tool
Options, and there is no place to remove a calendar that is causing errors. As
a result, every time I restart Thunderbird I receive the same error message,
and am unable to remove it.

I had just started Thunderbird a few moments before I upgraded to the
Lightning 05-Mar-2008 build and did not receive and errors pertaining to
the Google Calendar.
