$ gconftool-2 --get /apps/gnome-power-manager/buttons/power -->
"interactive"

The interesting thing is that if I change to anything different, for
example, "suspend" then it always works. So gnome-power-manager is
really receiving the button press, but someway it doesn't know how to
call the gnome logout dialog.
