I suggest looking at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingACPI, starting
with:

Try booting with the "acpi=off" kernel parameter

    *  This will disable ACPI support. If the error is the same with
acpi enabled and disabled, this may not be an ACPI issue.
