ah, didn't know which encoding to use, and i believe that would confuse other users as well the main thing that is bugging me is if i save a file using gedit, that text is shown in one line only, so i guess it's not the encoding,but the use of \r\n in windows text files for new lines There could be a check box in the "Save as" dialog to increase compatibility with windows operating systems
