Marked as Confirmed. It looks like a parted problem. Not sure if it is
related to the existing Windows XP partition or not, but parted had
problems formatting linux partition. XFS messages were related to NTFS
Windows XP partition. Since this install was on a separate Linux
partition, that would point towards a parted problem.
