I build a kernel wiht git and CONFIG_NO_HZ diseablet but synergy "hung"s again. So it is not the CONFIG_NO_HZ option. Another point is, that tickless option is enabled since 2.6.22, (changelog) and it workt with Gutsy and 2.6.22-14 and even with 2.6.24-7...
