Hi! I have the same too. I mailed the trascriber list about it in december, not receiving any response. However, using the binary from the transcriber website instead works well, so it seems it is something to do with the gutsy package.
I am worried about the silence on this issue and on the trans-devel list. Is there noone working on Transcriber anymore?
