thank you for the response and sorry ... I completely reinstalled the
system already .... now it's working.... if I get this bug again, I'll
post the info you requested

What error do you get?

Could you look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems and
the CUPS error_log section?

Could you select "System" -> "Administration" -> "Printing" in the main
menu of your desktop. The printer setup tool system-config-printer will
open. Select "Server Settings" in the list on the left. Then check the
checkbox "Save debugging information for troubleshooting" and click
"Apply". Could you then try and print and then attach the CUPS log file
from /var/log/cups/error_log.
