It loads the splash kubuntu screen which works fine, also the output is visible, and sometimes a disk check will happen that will take ages, which causes bootsplash to be disabled and show proper console output. The consoles go blank after the nvidia driver is loaded on X startup. If I boot straight to console and manually modprobe nvidia, the console is still visible. However after going to X, these go blank.
