Wow! Has this bug really been fixed? (Or am I just lucky today?) I just upgraded to the current Ubuntu Hardy (development) snapshot, and my external harddisk (USB 2.0) works, and it works at USB 2.0 speeds! Even ehci_hcd is loaded, too.
