This was the most similar bug report I could find. On a Thinkpad X31, I get sound from both speakers when I'm connected to the dock. The laptop itself only has one speaker, so when I'm not connected to the dock, I get mono sound.
Also, when I plug in an Edirol UA-1EX external USB sound A/D-D/A, I only get sound from the right headphone. (Using a previous release, I think Edgy, I was getting stereo sound from the Edirol gadget, and from the laptop headphone jack. Admittedly that was a different laptop, which makes it hard to compare. But I'd expect the USB thing to work.) If it's a bug using the headphone jack and the USB gadget, I think it's less likely to be a driver problem. -- Sound only mono until mute/unmute master volume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/73415 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
