Someone on the Ubuntu forums gave me this script to run XMMS which solves the problem, don't know if it will help fix the bug.
export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 && xmms -- Clicking on the double size button crashes XMMS https://launchpad.net/bugs/63144 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
