While I certainly agree with the reason for the bug, I nonetheless
believe it to be a bug. Given that it is rather difficult to fix, and
that it will not likely be fixed in Ubuntu, I'm adjusting this from
"Invalid" to "Won't Fix", which seems to better match the intent of the
statement about the bug resolution.
