I saw this problem also when upgrading to Edgy. I have an archive of /var/log/dist-upgrade - please find it attached. Place it in a clean directory before untarring it.
I managed to get my install to continue by doing "dpkg -r opera", but no instruction told me to do this, and an ordinary user faced with this situation would end up with a hosed half-upgraded system. :-| Unfortunately, I failed to note which exact Opera package version I had installed. Perhaps my /var/log/dist-upgrade will have this information. ** Attachment added: "Archive of upgrade-related logs etc." http://librarian.launchpad.net/4567304/63011.tar.gz -- opera breaks dapper->eft upgrade https://launchpad.net/bugs/63011 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
