I saw this problem also when upgrading to Edgy. I have an archive of
/var/log/dist-upgrade - please find it attached.  Place it in a clean
directory before untarring it.

I managed to get my install to continue by doing "dpkg -r opera", but no
instruction told me to do this, and an ordinary user faced with this
situation would end up with a hosed half-upgraded system. :-|

Unfortunately, I failed to note which exact Opera package version I had
installed. Perhaps my /var/log/dist-upgrade will have this information.
