Public bug reported: I installed texlive-full, (all 932MB of it) and apparently unicode refuses to render in any of the TeX engines (or did I forget one?) despite having all the fonts installed. Specifically, this sample latex file misses characters:
\documentclass{article} \begin{document} ∇∙D=ρ \begin{equation} ∇∙B=0 \end{equation} $∇xE=-∂B/∂t$ \[∇xH=J+∂D/∂t\] ТЕТРИ☭ ♯♩♪♫♬ ♥ 么 \end{document} Naturally, standard pdflatex can't deal with it, but neither can xelatex or lamed, both of those saying that, for example: Missing character: There is no ρ in font cmr10! That's xetex's error; aleph calls unicode characters things like ^^e2 in its .logs. I've looked at the xetex examples on the xetex web site ( http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&item_id=xetex_faq ); they look like my test file and act like my test file in xetex. So, texlive-full appears broken? Or am I doing it wrong? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- None of the TeX engines installed in texlive-full know where any of the fonts are https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/190087 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
