Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager-core
Hello, I run update-manager -c. I click "upgrade". It downloads two files, and then does nothing (returns to the update-manager window). On the terminal, I get this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ update-manager -c extracting '/tmp/tmpKWPn1V/gutsy.tar.gz' authenticate '/tmp/tmpKWPn1V/gutsy.tar.gz' against '/tmp/tmpKWPn1V/gutsy.tar.gz.gpg' could not send the dbus Inhibit signal: global name 'dbus' is not defined Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/UpdateManager/UpdateManager.py", line 914, in on_button_dist_upgrade_clicked fetcher.run() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/UpdateManager/Core/DistUpgradeFetcherCore.py", line 178, in run self.runDistUpgrader() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/UpdateManager/DistUpgradeFetcher.py", line 53, in runDistUpgrader if os.getuid() != 0: NameError: global name 'os' is not defined Thanks, Noam ** Affects: update-manager-core (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- can't upgrade to gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/189878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
