Movies within Totem were blueish (polarized) for me. Changing Totem's hue setting accomplished nothing. The picture always looked blue. I set the HUE to zero (as suggested above).
I then uninstalled totem-xine and installed totem-gstreamer. At this point everything looked normal as long as HUE was kept set to zero.
